• PLA. "NatureWorks" (TM) polylactide bio-polymer, redefines the meaning of SUSTAINABILITY in plastics.  PLA is produced from annually renewable plant sugars with minimal (& decreasing) dependence on fossil fuels.  This groundbreaking cost competitive and remarkably functional  material will become the "polymer of choice" in many applications, and......... yes it's recyclable and reusable,  but like other natural organic materials, after its useful life it's compostable.  It can also be disposed of by any of the other  existing disposal options with no adverse environmental impact.
